Gap filling and consolidate the crumbling profiles
Due to the high humidity in the microenvironment in the tell, the soil is very humid and the profiles were crumbling and failing. To support the structure, me and my teammate Tara made a mixture of Paraloid B72 20% with acetone, soil, and perlite. The mixture needs to be mouldable but not too wet, otherwise the weight of it would caused the profile to crumble.

Putting the mixture in
The mixture was then put into the gaps of the profiles and floors, also underneath the weak area to support the structure and prevent it from crumbling down further.

After treatment
After filling in the mixture, we covered the area with the surrounding soil to blend it in.
